Project Overview

The Town of Windham Planning & Zoning Commission is considering an Incentive Housing Zone to promote housing downtown as recommended in the Plan of Conservation & Development.

Town officials and staff, in partnership with the Windham Region Council of Governments (WINCOG), are preparing an assessment of the existing housing supply; preparing a housing market analysis and strategy; researching and creating a draft Incentive Housing Overlay Zone based on past reports, plans, and public input; and reaching out to inform the public about the project.

Location

Eligible locations for the Incentive Housing Zone include areas in proximity to bus stops that are connected to public water and sewer service.
